PCI DSS is the acronym for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
This is a standard developed by a committee made up of the most important card companies (Visa, MasterCard, etc.), called PCI SSC (Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council). These guides establish guidelines on the processing, storage and transmission of cardholder data.
PCI DSS makes up a set of data security mechanisms and administrative and operational rules that govern this business. These regulations ensure the management of such data, in order to prevent fraud involving credit and debit cards.
For more information about PCI requirements and standards, visit the official site at www.pcisecuritystandards.org.

Identify a fake email
The objective of this type of email is to acquire personal information, such as credit or debit card number, document number or security keys. These messages try to appear authentic by claiming to be sent by real companies. They even use the same graphics and designs of these companies. Some add links to fake websites very similar to the real ones, where they request personal information.
Here we offer a list of elements that can help you identify them easily:
Greeting: Many fake emails begin with general greetings such as “Attention: MAURITIUS User”. MAURITIUS emails are always personalized.
Urgency and threat to your account: These fake messages usually communicate that MAURITIUS has an urgent need to update and expand your personal data. Most of these fake emails threaten immediate discontinuation of service or disabling of your account. MAURITIUS never requests data by email
Request for personal information: Be alert for emails requesting personal information through links or forms included in the body of the message. This information may be your username and password, credit card number or bank account number. MAURITIUS never requires the user to enter their password or username from an email. MAURITIUS directs you to the Login screen of the website when it involves an action that requires access to your account.
Links in the email: Always check the URL of the site to which the link in the email takes you, make sure it is from MAURITIUS.
Once you have identified a fake email, we recommend doing the following:
Don't reply to the message.
Report it immediately by copying the message and sending it to security@MAURITIUS.com.
Delete the message from your email account.
By reporting a fake email you are helping to ensure the integrity and security of MAURITIUS Users.
